We collect your email so we can send you the newsletter, and basic analytics so we know what's read. We don't sell your data. Unsubscribe in one click, anytime.
What we collect
Your email address, and basic delivery analytics (whether an issue was delivered and opened). We don't ask for your name, address, or anything else to subscribe.
How we use it
To send you the newsletter twice a week, and occasionally to ask what you'd like us to cover. We don't sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.
Website analytics
On the website we use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta pixel to understand what gets read, how people find us, and to measure and improve the ads we run to reach new readers. We don't sell your personal information.
These run by default. You can turn them off anytime: use “Do Not Sell / opt out” in the footer, or opt out on the notice shown on your first visit. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (“Do Not Sell”) signal, we treat that as an opt-out automatically and never track. When you opt out, analytics and the Meta pixel stop.
Who processes it
Email is delivered through Resend, our sending provider, which stores the subscriber list on our behalf. Website analytics are processed by Google (Analytics) and Meta unless you opt out.
Your choices
Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link — use it anytime and you're removed. On the website, hit “Do Not Sell / opt out” in the footer (or opt out on the first-visit notice) to turn analytics and the Meta pixel off. You can also email us to be deleted entirely.
Your California choices (CCPA)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold (your email, delivery analytics, and website usage), to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sharing involved in ad measurement. The Meta pixel may count as “sharing” for cross-context advertising under California law; use “Do Not Sell / opt out” in the footer, or send a Global Privacy Control signal, and we will honor it. We won't discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, reply to any issue or write to the address below.
